How did you get into playing music?
Cody
I thought it looked fun.
Jeremy
I grew up picking guitar and messing around on drums with my dad's side of the family. They taught me the basics until I found a couple friends in school and started jamming around.
Biggest musical influences
Cody
All music influences me in one way or another.
Jeremy
Country and Folk from the 50s–70s. Plenty of rock from those eras all the way up to modern Rap, Metal and Americana/Folk. Way too hard to even choose a single artist or genre.
How did you end up in the band?
Cody
Fallon reached out with an interest in playing live music.
Jeremy
Fallon is friends with my girlfriend of many years. When I heard she was looking for a drummer, I showed up to practice one day and now I've been a part of many iterations of Fallon's band.
What do you add to the sound or live show?
Cody
I do the strummy wummies and the widdly diddles.
Jeremy
I try my best to be the quiet heartbeat of the band when needed. But if the performance calls for a more driving force, I can do that, too.
Favorite song to play live
Jeremy
Ain't No Rest For The Wicked by Cage the Elephant. We really try to make it our own.
Pre-show routine
Cody
Just chill and get in a good head space. Practice a little to stay sharp.
Jeremy
Drink plenty of water. Redbull. More water. More Redbull. Tune up twice. Then I'm ready.
3 words people would use to describe you
Cody
Laid back, trustworthy, reliable
Jeremy
Quiet, Reliable, Kind
Something most people don't know about you
Jeremy
I stole a pair of toy binoculars from school in the 5th grade and I still feel guilty about it.
What do you do when you're not playing music?
Cody
Spend time with my kids, listen to educational podcasts, play video games.
Jeremy
I work in a machine shop. The rest of my time I work in the yard, cook a lot, and sometimes go for a hike looking for animal bones with my girlfriend.
Favorite artist right now
Jeremy
Really into the new Johnny Blue Skies album and Jonny Fritz's newest release. On the flip-side, I'm blasting Spite and Darko US almost daily.
What does this band mean to you?
Cody
It's a means of making people happy and creating good memories with friends.
Jeremy
Band practice and getting to play live for people is my church. You do it all for the feeling it gives you. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts, and I feel lucky to be one of those parts.
